Marketing Manager
(posted Aug 2017)

The Marketing Manager is the primary individual responsible for defining and advancing the CSC brand, as well as for promoting the CSC and its activities within the media community and the public, developing, documenting and executing strategies for each communication channel, whether traditional or digital.

This executive-level position provides assistance and advice to all of the volunteer operating executives, to help them reach the goals for their own programs and to improve any interaction with the media, with relevant government departments or agencies, or with professional organizations that may interact with CSC members. It is definitely a hands-on position, completing diverse marketing tasks independently and in a timely manner. The position requires sufficient detailed expertise of brand management, as well as of message optimization for current and emerging channels.

The Marketing Manager is expected to monitor CSC public communications often to ensure they adhere to the CSC's intended communications strategies.

In the past, this position has been held by a member of the CSC who has volunteered their time and talents. As a non-profit organization, the CSC would prefer to maintain the volunteer nature of this position, or adapt it to an internship for a graduate of a marketing-specific post-secondary degree program. At the same time, we are open to discuss modest compensation if a candidate possesses expertise especially beneficial to the CSC.

The Marketing Manager reports directly to the CSC Executive Officer.
